When I became president of the IDSA (Industrial Designers Society of America) chapter at NJIT, I knew we had to stand out. The biggest club that we coexisted alongside was the architecture club, AIAS. With the architects being the most numerous and longest established major in our building (not to mention carrying a bit of an air), I wanted to design a set of posters for our first meeting that told them that we too could hold our own while giving a sense of materiality and production to the identity of the club.

 

So I went to the architecure library, found some architecture magazines, ripped out and lasercut a couple pages, super imposed them and glued them. Take that, architects.
